Youth Winter Indoor Training will begin on Sunday March 1, 2026 and continue every Sunday through March 29, 2026. Trainings will be at Oakwood Sports Center (40 Oakwood Drive, Glastonbury) from 12pm to 2pm for all five Sundays in March. The Hartford GAA (HGAA) has a long and proud Youth GAA history.
Today, we currently offer teams for Gaelic Football, Hurling, and Camogie.
Players of all experience and athletic backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to join!
The HGAA youth program is open to girls and boys aged 5-17.
Our season runs from the end of February (indoor) to the end of October.
Annual registration includes:
Winter indoor training sessions
Spring trainings and games
Summer blitzes (tournaments)
Fall training and games
All outdoor youth training sessions are held at the Irish American Home located at 132 Commerce St. Glastonbury CT.
Training is held on Friday nights beginning at 5:30 p.m.
New players and families are welcome to come down any Friday night to join in on the fun!
The only equipment necessary for youth players is a pair of cleats and a mouth guard.
Gaelic games are a tremendous supplement for youth players involved in other sports.
Our players thrive in a fun, respectful, and organized environment.
We are a community of sports enthusiasts seeking to celebrate and share the Gaelic games of Football and Hurling with everyone in the greater Hartford Area.
We are fortunate to play all of our home games at the Irish American Home Society in Glastonbury that boasts one of the nicest outdoor pitches in the state as well as a family friendly pub atmosphere to meet new friends!
We also play games throughout the greater New England region, including regular trips to the Irish Cultural Center in Canton MA, Rockland NY, New Haven CT, and Fairfield CT.
