The Hartford GAA (HGAA) started a Ladies Gaelic Football program in the spring of 2022!
We are proud to welcome all female athletes (17+) to our program as we embark on this new journey. Our Hartford Ladies Gaelic football program will make their inaugural debut in the Northeast Junior Ladies Gaelic Football competition in the summer of 2023.
If you have questions please reach out, we would love to have you join our program, all experiences welcome!
The HGAA youth program is open to female athletes age 17+
Our season runs from mid-February (indoor) to the end of October.
Annual registration includes:
Winter indoor training sessions
Spring trainings and games
Summer league/championship
Fall training and games
All outdoor Hartford Ladies Gaelic Football training sessions are held at the Irish American Home located at 132 Commerce St. Glastonbury CT.
Training is held on Friday nights beginning at 6:30 p.m.
New players are always welcome to come down any Friday night to join in on the fun!
The only equipment necessary for players is a pair of cleats and a mouth guard.

Our female athletes thrive in a fun, respectful, and organized environment.

We are fortunate to play all of our home games at the Irish American Home Society in Glastonbury that boasts one of the nicest outdoor pitches in the state as well as a family friendly pub atmosphere to meet new friends!

We also play games throughout the greater New England region, including regular trips to the Irish Cultural Center in Canton, MA Rockland, NY, New Haven, CT, and Fairfield, CT.
